We Started a Study!!!!:):) AND Went to the Assembly!

We had such an awesome weekend!

We went in service Saturday morning, and Olvis, one of the 2 elders and special pioneers was extremely kind and considerate to our family, he always is, but this morning he had the service meeting interpreted in English for us and allow us to comment in English! It was refreshing to be able to participate from our heart without hours of practice and preparation:)

Then, he even put Jason and I together for service partners!!:) being we don't speak much Spanish, we haven't worked together yet!:)

Then we took a road out for a BEAUTIFUL view, he just took us there to let us enjoy the view! Then off to the doors. Jason, Jeremiah, and I did one went fine, then went to our next one.

A woman came out, Jason did his presentation then showed the video, she got out a couple chairs and her and I sat, watched the video and I had a "poco" conversation with her then we gave her the magazines and she said immediately and very anxiously (and in Spanish:/:) ) "when will you be back?"

So  we said in one week and she gave me a hug and said ok, thank you!

She is so humble and mild and we can not wait to prepare prepare prepare and return with the Good News brochure!

After this we came home, had lunch, took a nap, and went to the beach!:)

Then, Sunday morning we got up at 4:00am and drove 4 hours to Santiago for the English Assembly! And it was worth the very long 8 hour round trip drive!

There were about 1000 people there, almost ALL need greaters from all over the world!! We got to hear some great experiences and amazing talks and excellent experienced speakers. There were 6 baptized, and one young young dominican boy, he almost couldn't touch in the pool!

There was an experience that touched us all so much, we got emotional. A dominican sister told about how her sister an niece were JWs but she wasn't interested for a long time. Then her and her husband were in a car accident that killed her husband and left her with a 3 year old and 2 month old and the day after her husbands funeral she stated studying. She talked about how Jehovah helped her thru everything and she felt his hand and how she even saw him help her children. Her daughter was baptized at age 8 and started pioneering at age 9 and has been pioneering now for 8 years. I missed her sons progress (Jeremiah talking) but it was also similar!

We took notes!!:)

Here are some pictures from the passed few days!

Some new friends the boys met at the zone meeting. They are twins, they moved here with their mom and older brother (20) from Canada 5 years ago! They serve in the Spanish Samana!

During the session. We had some friends from Las Galeras with us. Damas, Pheobe, and Nicol.

The boys singing during session:)

Beach days!!

And finally, these are the pictures of Jason on his favorite service day!
He's holding the one baby, and their showing the video to all the moms in the next picture!!

And now today I will do laundry in our Dominican washer. Last Monday I actually got a blister from doing laundry!! Whew!:)
And I will clean house and get ready for my mom and dad to arrive tomorrow!!
- while Jason takes the kids to the beach!
But sorry mom and dad, I will only get as much done ad I can until 2:30, because then Jason is picking me up so I can go to the beach for the afternoon, but I'm never going to rock a good tan because I can never get there for a WHOLE DAY!..,but I'm not complaint, just saying:)

We are so excited to see grandma and grandpa and show off all the wonderful things about being here!!:)
