Just seeing if I can post a picture!!

Yeah!! It worked!! Not their best pics, but....it worked!:)

 The top picture is the selfie Jeremiah took, it was one of about 30 that were on my iPad when I sat down with it! 

I wonder if he's thinking "Wow, my cheeks are really big, I look like a chipmunk!"

Trying it again!

We took some excellent advice from a brother serving in the Spanish cong in DR, he suggested we visit and work with a Spanish cong even if only for a few days because there is nothing like the Spanish ministry. So, for our first week (after spending a few days in Santo Domingo and visiting the branch) we are going to go to Samana and stay at The Tropical Bed and Breakfast Hostel, owned by a sister and rented to brothers and sisters.  They only have a Spanish cong there so we will go to the Spanish meetings and a few days in the Spanish ministry with them.

Marilyn, the sister who owns the B&B, seems like an amazing sister who we can't wait to meet. We found out she was looking for a projector and screen to show the JW.org videos to her studies in the rurals of DR.  Being the Craigslist shopper that I am:) I thought I'd see if there was anything there....and Jere is holding what we found! It came in a hard sided protective case, with a soft sided carrying case, is ultra easy to set up and weighs less than 14 pounds for easy transport. $50 to a non profit organization ($450 savings) So I took pictures of it next to Jeremiah so she could see the size, and she said "IT'S PERFECT!!"

We found out she has a bit of a hike up to where she studies with 16 families who live in caves, no electricity or even running water! The videos are going to be an excellent teaching tool for her. We can't wait to hear more about them....maybe even meet them!:)

Blog Practice

My first time trying out blogging.  So, I am going to try posting a picture and adding my text!

Hmmmmm, so this is the only picture I could add because it's the only picture in the right place, and yet, I don't know how it got to that place or how to get others there!! Good thing I'm practicing almost 2 months before we go!!!

But, it's a good picture with good memories...but nothing to do with our DR trip:) this was in Shell Knob Missouri on November 30, 2014.  We drove down there and surprised Uncle Lee and Alexyss! And with Aunt Wendy's help we pulled it off!...even tho they were Black Friday shopping! We showed up at Walmart! So fun! It was -15 at home and 70 degrees there all weekend. Went out on the boat and had a Bon-fire and Lee and Wendy's group hosted the speaker on Sunday. We had an AMAZING Italian style dinner/lunch and went outside to take pictures.  What an AWESOME congregation. Maybe we'll move in!!:)
